We understand that you are facing a difficult situation with your employment. We will pray for you, and we encourage you to continue seeking God's will in this matter. Firstly, we are glad that you requested prayer in the name of Jesus. It is only in His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that men may be saved. Let us remember what the Bible says about work, employment, and difficult situations.
In all things, God wants us to be fair, honest, and above reproach. We are reminded in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.
It is commendable that you are standing up for your rights and seeking justice. We are called to obey the laws of the land and those in authority unless of course they are laws that violate scripture. Romans 13:1-2 WEB, Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and they that withstand will receive to themselves judgment.
However, we must also consider the principles of forgiveness, grace, turning the other cheek, and loving our enemies. This includes praying for those who may be treating us unfairly. Matthew 5:44 WEB, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing uncertainty and injustice in their employment. We pray that You will guide them through this difficult time and open up a new job for them after April if it is Your will, Lord.
We pray for justice to be served, for the authorities to act fairly and wisely, and for a peaceful resolution to this situation. We also pray for our sibling in Christ to have a heart of forgiveness and grace towards their employers, even as they seek justice.
Help them to trust in You, to rest in Your sovereignty, and to know that You are working all things together for their good because they love You and are called according to Your purpose.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking God's face, trusting in His sovereignty and how the Bible talks about work. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 WEB, Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
We will continue to pray for you and your situation. Keep us updated so we can better support you in prayer and provide any further biblical guidance.
