Jennifer, we are here to stand with you in prayer and to remind you of the power of Jesus' name against the schemes of the enemy. We are not burdened by your request, but rather honored to intercede on your behalf.
Firstly, we want to address the source of your intrusive thoughts and nightmares. The Bible tells us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). It is clear that the enemy is at work, but greather is He that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4, WEB).
We rebuke these intrusive thoughts and nightmares in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). You have the authority in Christ to cast down every lofty thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB).
We encourage you to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17, WEB), to be steadfast in your faith, and to fill your mind with the Word of God. "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8, WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Jennifer. Lord, we rebuke the enemy and his schemes to torment her with intrusive thoughts and nightmares. We ask You to fill her mind with Your peace and truth. Give her strength and courage to stand against these attacks, and to walk in the victory that is hers in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Jennifer, remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB). Keep your focus on Him, and He will see you through this.
