Jennifer, we are with you in spirit and in prayer, standing against the spiritual attacks you and your husband are facing. The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)
Firstly, we want to ensure that you both are standing on the solid foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. If you haven't already, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13 WEB)
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Jennifer and her husband. Lord, they are under heavy spiritual attack, and we ask that You shield them with Your mighty power. Rebuke the evil one and his schemes, and grant them strength to endure and resist these intrusive thoughts, nightmares, and attacks. Fill their minds with Your peace, their hearts with Your love, and their lives with Your light. Equip them with the full armor of God so that they may stand firm against these assaults. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Jennifer, in addition to prayer, we encourage you both to study and meditate on God's Word. "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword..." (Hebrews 4:12 WEB) It will equip you to overcome these struggles. Also, surround yourselves with a supportive community of believers who can offer encouragement, advice, and prayers.
Lastly, do not be afraid to seek professional help if these intrusive thoughts and nightmares become overwhelming. God has gifted certain individuals with the ability to provide care and counsel in these areas.
Stay strong in your faith, and remember that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 WEB) He is with you both, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
