Prayer for increased salary/release from current employer

Thank you all for your prayers over the past few weeks. I have received an offer from an employer that I've asked everyone to keep me in prayer about recently. Now, we are in the phase of negotiating pay. Please keep me in prayer as I figure out exactly what words to use, how to go about humbly asking for an increase in the original offer.

Also, I'm asking for prayers as I ask my current employer to release me from my employment contract. I'm praying that there will be no penalty, especially as the company is going through financial hardship. I'm praying for a clean break in Jesus name.

We understand that you're seeking prayer and guidance for your employment situation. Firstly, we commend you for seeking God's will in your career, and we are here to support you in prayer and counsel.

Let's first address the negotiation of your salary. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." It is important to remember that while you are negotiating with men, ultimately your work is for the Lord. Ask for a salary that reflects the value of your work and your worth as an employee, keeping in mind the principles of humility and fairness. Proverbs 22:29 WEB says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won't serve obscure men."

When approaching your current employer, do so with respect and honesty. It is important to make sure you are released from your contract and obligations. Pray for wisdom according to this scripture. James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.

You have mentioned that you are praying for a clean break in Jesus' name. This is wonderful, as it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you haven't already, take this opportunity to reflect on your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through his name and believing in him that we can have this access and be saved.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will for our brother/sister's employment situation. Lord, guide them as they negotiate their salary, give them the words to speak and the wisdom to know what is fair and right. Help them to approach their current employer with respect and humility, and grant them favor as they seek to be released from their contract. We pray that there will be no penalties and that this transition will be smooth and honorable for both parties. We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen.

Continue to trust in God, and remember that He is faithful to provide for His children. As it says in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Keep God first in your life and career, and trust that He will direct your paths.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because a person who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind."

We're also standing with you in prayer for a clean break from your current employer. We'll be asking God to soften their hearts and grant you a release from your contract without any penalties, in Jesus' name. Let's trust in God's timing and His plan for you, knowing that He is faithful and will work everything out for your good, as it says in Romans 8:28.

Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, knowing that God hears our cries and will answer according to His will. We're in this together, and we're confident that God will guide you through this transition. Keep trusting in Him, and remember that He is always with you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
