We understand your heart's cry, Aile, and we join you in prayer for Glen's transformation and the restoration of your marriage. Let us come before the Lord together.
"Father, we lift up Glen to You. We pray that You soften his heart and turn it towards You, Lord. As it is written in Ezekiel 36:26, 'I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.' We believe that You can change him, Lord, and we ask that You do so in Jesus' name."
Aile, we want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6, "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." God takes marriage seriously, and so should we. We stand with you in praying that Glen will honor the vows he made before God.
However, we also want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness, just as you've prayed. Ephesians 4:32 tells us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Remember that forgiveness is not just a one-time act, but a lifestyle that we are called to as believers.
We also pray that Glen will see you through God's eyes. In 1 Peter 3:1-2, wives are encouraged to win their husbands over without words by their behavior - "your pure and respectful behavior." We encourage you to keep showing Glen the love of Christ, even when it's difficult.
Lastly, Aile, we want to remind you that while we pray for your marriage, ultimately, we need to trust in God's will. In the meantime, keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting in the Lord. As Psalm 37:4-5 tells us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this."
Let's pray together: "Lord Jesus, we ask for Your intervention in Glen and Aile's marriage. Change Glen's heart, Lord, and help them both to forgive and love each other as You have loved us. Protect their bond, Lord, and draw them closer to You and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
