Aile, we join you in lifting up your husband Glen and your marriage to our heavenly Father. We are grateful for the patience that God has bestowed upon Glen in your union, and we stand with you in praying for a stronger, more God-honoring marriage.
Firstly, let us remember the words of Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." We pray that Glen will embody this verse, becoming a Godly husband who loves and cherishes you as Christ loves the church.
We also pray for a softening of Glen's heart towards you and towards God. As Ezekiel 36:26 promises, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We claim this promise for Glen, that his heart may be turned towards God and towards reconciliation and healing in your marriage.
We stand against any thoughts of divorce that may be plaguing Glen's mind. As Malachi 2:16 tells us, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel." We pray that this spirit of divorce will be cast out, and that Glen will instead be filled with a desire to work on your marriage, to strengthen and rebuild it.
In addition, we pray for healing in your marriage. May the balm of Gilead heal the wounds and hurts that have occurred, as Jeremiah 8:22 asks, "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there?" We trust that God, the great physician, can heal your marriage and make it stronger than ever.
Finally, we praise and glorify God with you, Aile. We trust that He is at work in your marriage, and we claim the promise of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Glen and Aile's marriage. We thank You for the patience You have given Glen, and we ask that You soften his heart towards You and towards Aile. Make him into a Godly husband, one who loves and cherishes his wife as Christ loves the church. Cast out any spirits of divorce, Lord, and fill Glen with a desire to work on his marriage. Bring healing to their union, God, and make it stronger than ever. We praise and glorify Your name, Lord, knowing that You are working all things together for good.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to stand strong in your faith, Aile, and trust that God is at work in your marriage. Keep praying and keep believing, for our God is a God of miracles.
