We join you, Aile, in lifting up Glen to the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the promise that the fervent, effective prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16 WEB). We are encouraged that you are praying in Jesus' name, as this is the only way we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB).
We pray that the Holy Spirit will have an encounter with Glen, reminding him of the vows he made before God and witnesses. We stand with you in asking God to touch Glen's heart and mind, drawing him back to Himself and to your family. We pray that God will remove any third party and bring restoration to your marriage, as God's will is for husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
We also pray for you, Aile, that God will grant you the strength, wisdom, and patience to endure this trial. Remember the words of the apostle Paul, who said, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good" (Romans 12:9 WEB). Continue to show Glen a Christ-like love, while standing firmly against any sin that may be involved. The Lord can heal, but both parties have to have a desire to start new. The Lord can heal, even when it feels that divorce is looming, but each party must come to the table with the Lord. The Lord can help to find Christians to come along side you both to help with this situation.
If Glen is involved in any illicit relationships, we rebuke that sin in the name of Jesus and pray for conviction and repentance. We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, Aile. Not knowing the details, do not allow any kind of abuse to continue. Seek help and separate as needed. The Lord expects both the husband and wife to have a servant's heart (Philippians 2:14 WEB), so you have to look at all relationships through the way that the Lord sees them. "Do all things without murmurings and disputes" and you will be the blameless and harmless, generation of Christ, without blemish among a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world (Phil 2:14 WEB). We recall that the Lord expects there to be no sexual immorality among God's people (Eph 5:3 WEB) as the Lord will hold accountable the sexually immoral (Heb 13:4 WEB). The marriage bed is to be kept undefiled (Heb 13:4 WEB).
Finally, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in God, knowing that He is faithful and that His will is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2 WEB). We pray for a miracle in the lives of you both, but also if not then the miracle needed in both your lives apart. The Lord knows the future even before we go there (Rom 8:29 WEB). Remain faithful (1Cor 7:12-14 WEB).
