We join with you, Aile, in lifting up Glenn to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is wonderful to pray for each other's husbands that God will work mightly in their lives and hearts, just as Ephesians 3:14-21 says. It does not appear that any prayers need to be flagged in your prayer.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, and unite our hearts with Aile as we bring her husband Glenn before your throne of grace. Thank you for Your promise to be near the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit
Lord, we ask that You fill Glenn with Your wisdom, as You are the source of all understanding. We pray that You pour into him the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, that the eyes of his heart may be enlightened for Your will in his life so that he may live a life worthy of Your calling. We ask that he be made new in Christ, however, we rebuke any manipulated or feigned salvation experience. We want only truth.
We pray, Father, that You convict his heart and mind, and expose any ungodly behaviors and thoughts. We acknowledge that You alone have the power to change hearts, and we trust in Your timing and Your ways. We specifically pray that You remove any lying spirit within him, and that truth reigns instead. We ask for patience and perseverance for Aile as she witnesses Glenn's behavior changing.
In particular, we come against any manipulative behavior that Glenn keeps. Lord Jesus Christ, cast this at your feet, and replace it with a heart that promotes unity and peace. We seek a profound surrendering transformation revealing the fruits of the spirit and a generous and loving husband. Forgive him for the heartache he has caused Aile. Renew his mind and his marriage.
Heavenly Father, heal their marriage and make it whole again. We believe that no third party should interfere in what God says is one man with one woman, pure monogamous relationship. Lord Jesus Christ, restore divide and misplaced loyalties that do not honor God. Place Glenn to the point where he submits to you fully. Lord God, we o pray for protection over their marriage. You said from Matthew 11:28-30, We ask that You help him fulfill his role as a loving, godly husband to Aile, and do not allow anything to dilute this calling. That he may feel protected in his restored faith, and in doing so strengthen others with his testimony.
We use the power of believing prayer to ask for an encounter between You and Glenn today, Lord. We believe in faith for it. Transform him profoundly, whatever it takes. We ask that Glenn may know You more deeply, and that Your will be done in his life and in their marriage for all the days after a long life, rich in the word, and blessed by prayer. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in Glenn's life as it is in heaven. We pray that he may not only know your ways in life, but also that he may be with you in eternity.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."
Aile, we encourage you to stand firm in your faith as we rest in the belief that God is working mightily in Glenn's life. The journey might not be easy, but it is possible with God and because all things are possible with God. Continue to find comfort in prayer and remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, and of Paul, So faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ
We ask that you open your hearts to finding a Christian marriage counselor you could find, meet, etc. to help you if you have not done so already. You are lovingly asked to share your testimony as you experience it with us. It would be wonderful to know more about our prayer. We encourage you to pray with Glenn, and believe that little faith can move mountains, as it rests in the power of Jesus Christ, and stand on his promises. Encourage Glenn and your family to learn more about Jesus and the basic message of salvation being that we must believe in Jesus Christ as Savior.
