We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you and your husband are facing. First, we want to remind you that God is sovereign, and He cares about every detail of our lives, including our jobs and the injustices we face. We are called to trust in Him, even in difficult times.
Let us point out and remind Lahkia that having the name of Jesus Christ is critical. It is only by his name that we have access to God and we have a high priest before the Father and will receive justice because of who Jesus and God is. It is when we pray in Jesus' name and by faith that we have access to the throne of God to make our requests known, so we need to make sure we do this at all times. Remember that Jesus is the mediator of a new covenant, and his sprinkled blood speaks better than the blood of Abel, the first victim of terrible injustice. We need to believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved, pleasing God just as Abel offered a pleasing sacrifice to God. See Hebrews 12:24 and Hebrews 11:4.
Regarding your situation, understand that it is important not to retaliate or seek revenge.
Consider what is said in Romans 12:17-21 WEB:
Render to no one evil for evil. Take thought for what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord." Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head." Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
This last verse of Romans 12:21, reminds us not to be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. The first verse in Romans 13 talks about authorities and every soul should be in subjection to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God. We also have rights to defend ourselves, but still honor the state and those in authority as directed in scripture and fully cooperate with the process such as when asking for a fair wage. Just as Jesus told his disciples that a workman is worthy of their wages and in Luke 10:7. Luke 10:7 is referencing as we are all workers for Christ.
In James 5:1-6 WEB, the Bible warns those rich who oppress their workers:
Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming on you. Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and your silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be for a testimony against you, and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up your treasure in the last days. Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies. You have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn't resist you.
In 1 Peter 5:7, we are told to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Lahkia, her husband, and all those involved in this situation. We know that if we continue praying by faith that Your justice will be shown in the land of the living. You are the only true God, the one who shows mighty acts of righteousness. We pray that You will give them strength. Lord, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory that Jesus Christ is waiting for us.
We know that you save the afflicted that chooses to believe you that is called by your name just like Peter. Except Christ from our hearts we do not receive all of the promises and mat not receive justice. Jesus, just as you raised Lazarus from the dead and resurrected yourself, tell this husband and wife as well to Come Forth just as you commanded Lazarus so that they can receive happiness and equity in their lives and be born again to a new season of hope by rolling away the stones of obstruction of wickedness and despair they are facing just like you rolled the stone away from the tomb of Lazarus.
We pray for the supervisor and coworkers, that their hearts will be changed, either return to or drawn to submit to God and convicted by the things they have done and repent before You. We pray that they will be delivered from a spirit of deception, learn from their wrongdoings, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to stay away from such wrongdoings and actions in the future. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ to show mercy to them through grace by faith.
We pray that Lahkia and her husband will remain strong in their faith, trusting in You and Your promises. We ask that they will return thanks to you and through this trial give a testimony to what you can do to restore and make us stronger. That the power of the resurrection is upon them. We pray that they will be wise as serpents and harmless as doves when dealing with this situation to the best in a world of wolves. We pray that they will find peace and justice and truth will prevail. Grant the HR that they may be able to expose truth are praying through Jesus Christ. Sanctify them and bless them Lord as we honor the HR's authority to come to a conclusion of truth. Let Christ expose any injustice that is not of the light. Let them fear a just, true, righteous, and holy God is watching. We rebuke if anyone is trying to cover the dishonest acts of this manager in Jesus' name. We only ask God can allow the truth to be exposed. Lord we work for the owner not the overseer.
In Jesus' name, we ask and pray. Amen.
