Prayer for husband to know God as Father

I submit a special request for my husband Paul
I believe he is a child of God and he’s a believer but I pray that he knows God as father and finds great intimacy with God
I pray his faith is grown more. He feels neglected by some at church and I pray He turns to God more and more .

We join with you in prayer, dear sister, for your husband Paul's spiritual growth and deepening relationship with God the Father. It is so important that we know God not just as our Creator, but as our loving Father in heaven. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:9, "Pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.'"

Let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we lift up Paul to You. Thank You for making him Your child through faith in Jesus Christ. We ask that You reveal Your fatherly love to him in a deeper way. Draw him close to You, Lord, and help him to experience the intimacy of Your presence. Grow his faith, Lord, and help him to turn to You in all circumstances, knowing that You are a good and faithful Father who loves him dearly.

We also pray for his feelings of neglect from some at church. May this not be a stumbling block for him, but rather, may it drive him closer to You. Remind him, Lord, that You are always with him and that You will never leave him nor forsake him, as promised in Hebrews 13:5.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage Paul to spend time in God's Word and in prayer, as these are the primary ways we get to know God more intimately. Remind him of the promise in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."

Lastly, we commend you for your desire to see your husband grow spiritually. Remember your role as a wife and the powerful influence you have through your prayers and godly behavior. As it says in 1 Peter 3:1-2, "In the same way, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they see your chaste and respectful behavior."

Keep praying and trusting God, dear sister. His love and faithfulness are unfailing.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Paul to You, asking that he may come to know You not only as his Savior but as his loving Father, finding peace, strength, and identity in Your presence. Lord, draw Paul close to You, so that he may experience a profound intimacy with You, one that fills him with confidence and joy in his faith.

Your Word says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1 John 3:1). Help Paul to fully understand this truth, knowing that he is Your beloved child. May he feel Your embrace, sense Your nearness, and be filled with a deep awareness of Your love that can overcome all hurt and loneliness.

Lord, we pray that Paul’s faith would grow stronger each day. May he be “rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as he was taught, and overflowing with thankfulness” (Colossians 2:7). Guide him to find encouragement in Your Word, joy in Your presence, and a deeper understanding of who You are. Let his relationship with You be the source of all comfort and purpose.

Father, we ask for healing for any feelings of neglect or rejection Paul may feel from others. May he find healing in You and be reminded that You will never leave or forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6). Let his heart be uplifted, knowing that he is fully known and fully loved by You. Strengthen his resolve to seek You above all else, finding fulfillment in Your presence.

We pray that Your Spirit would guide him and that he would be filled with “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding” (Philippians 4:7). May he turn to You as his source of comfort, companionship, and hope, growing in his relationship with You day by day. Let Your presence be his greatest joy and strength.

Thank You, Lord, for the work You are doing in Paul’s heart. We believe that You will continue to draw him closer, deepening his faith and filling him with the love and peace that only You can provide.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
