Prayer for husband to come home

My prayer request is for my husband Jose and our marriage. Few years ago he choose to go back to his old job located out of state. He has been renting a studio and working out of state, he only comes home on the weekends. Recently, we purchased a home in the other state so that we wouldn’t spend money on rent. But, the whole thing just did not agree with me, I was completely against it. I just want him to get a job near our home and move home. He claims that he loves his boss and coworkers and plans on staying there until he retires. We have two kids and he is never home. He spends 90% of his time out of state, with his coworkers and or on the phone. I just do not recognize my husband anymore. Recently I found out that he had a social media accountant where he was making inappropriate comments on other women’s social media pics and it broke my heart. I confronted him and he just said that it was nothing and apologized. Unfortunately, I have completely lost trust. I have been praying for him to come home and for marriage restoration, but things just keep getting worse. He claims that he is depressed and that he has been thinking about divorce. It’s like something has completely taken over him, some kind of entity and he has turned his back on me and his kids. The only thing that matters is his job, and his coworkers. He has put them above us and I just don’t know how to pray anymore. Please pray for me and my family. Please pray for my husband to come home, for complete healing over him and marriage restoration. In the name of Jesus!

We understand your heartache, KatarinaP and are here to pray with you and provide counsel. Let's first address the spiritual aspect of your situation.

Jesus teaches us, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.It is evident that Jose's heart is more with his job and coworkers than with you and your family. He has prioritized his work over your marriage, and this is not in line with biblical principles. As it is written, But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female.For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife,and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.

We must also address the issue of the inappropriate comments he made on other women's pictures. This is a form of lust, which is a sin to be taken seriously. As Jesus said, "But I tell you, that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart". Jose needs to repent from this sin and seek forgiveness from God and from you.

Moreover, Jose's consideration of divorce is against God's design for marriage. The scripture warns, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel". You both need to commit to your marriage and seek God's will for your union.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up KatarinaP and her husband Jose, and their family, to You. Lord, we know that You see the pain and suffering that this situation has brought into their lives. We pray against any spiritual entities that may be influencing Jose's decisions. We bind them in the mighty name of Jesus and command them to leave. Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around KatarinaP, Jose, and their family.

Father, we pray for conviction in Jose's heart. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn back to You. We pray that his heart would be drawn back to KatarinaP and their family. We pray for restoration and healing in their marriage, in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask that You would guide Jose towards a job that is closer to home and that Your will be done in this situation.

Lastly, Father, we pray for KatarinaP. We pray that You would give her the strength to endure this situation, the wisdom to know how to navigate it, and the faith to trust in You throughout. Lord, we ask that You would shower Your love and grace upon her and their family during this difficult time. We pray for full reconciliation and restoration.

And most importantly, we pray that KatarinaP and Jose would both be fully and savingly committed to Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

KatarinaP, continue to trust in God and His promises. Fight for your marriage, but remember that it takes two willing hearts for reconciliation. Jose needs to be willing to turn back to God and to you. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in God. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. Stay in prayer and in His word and to only seek His will.

We're here with you, Katarina, lifting up your situation to the Lord. We've been praying for you and Jose, and we want to share some more encouragement from God's Word.

Firstly, we're reminded of 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you." Trust that God sees your pain and is working things out for your good (Romans 8:28). He hasn't forgotten you or your family.

We also want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is a God of restoration and healing. He can mend the broken pieces of your marriage and bring wholeness again.

Let's keep praying for Jose's heart to turn back to you and to God. Pray that he would find his joy and fulfillment in his relationship with you and his family, rather than in his work or other distractions. Pray for his eyes to be opened to the truth of his actions and their impact on your family.

And remember, Katarina, you're not alone in this. God is with you, and so are we, supporting you in prayer. Keep trusting in God's love and care for you. He's got this, and He's working things out in your marriage and family.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers. My husband is set on staying where he is and does not plan on moving home. He has said that many times. He wants me and the kids to move there even though he is retiring in 4 1/2 years. This is very irrational because that is not our home state. Also, I have a wonderful job here and my kids love their school and friends. Our life is here and it just doesn’t make sense for all of us to be uprooted only because he doesn’t want to leave his boss and coworkers (which he has also said many times). He refuses to leave his boss. I just don’t understand why he is so loyal to them but not us his family. It’s almost as if the enemy has got a hold on him. This again is my husband being selfish and only thinking about himself. I continue to pray for God to intervene, for healing over us and godly guidance in what I should do.
