We are truly sorry to hear about the immense losses you've experienced, Lyntag. We want to lift you up in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement as you navigate this season of your life.
Let's first address your grief. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB) that God is "the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." We pray that God's comfort would be very real to you right now, and that He would continue to heal your broken heart.
We also want to pray for your housing situation. Proverbs 16:3 (WEB) says, "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established." We pray that if this home is part of God's plan for you, that your offer would be accepted. But we also pray for discernment and peace about this decision, as Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we want to ensure that you are finding your hope and comfort in Jesus Christ. You haven't mentioned His name in your request, and it's important to remember that Jesus is our only mediator between us and God. 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB) says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith and trust in Him.
Let's pray:
Dear Lord Jesus, we lift Lyntag up to You. Comfort her in her grief, and guide her as she makes important decisions about her home. Give her peace and discernment, and help her to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, Lyntag. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB).
