Prayer for help

My husband abandoned me and our kids in June. He had an affair and keeps drinking and fighting with me. He doesn’t want to help financially anymore and I don’t make enough to pay rent. Please pray he wakes up from this mental break and at least helps financially. Pray for healing for myself, kids, and even him. Pray he makes a break thru.

We are truly saddened to hear about the circumstances you and your family are facing. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and intervention.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness, just as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." It is important to forgive your husband for his actions, not for his sake, but for your own peace and healing.

Regarding your husband's behavior, we must address that his actions are not in line with God's will. Drinking excessively, adultery, and abandoning his family are all violations of biblical principles. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (WEB), it is clearly stated, "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom." We pray that he turns away from these actions and seeks God's forgiveness.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your help and intervention in this desperate situation. We pray that You touch the heart of Anonymous' husband, that he may turn away from his sinful behavior and seek Your forgiveness. We ask that You awaken him from his mental break and remind him of his responsibilities as a husband and a father. We plead with You, Lord, to soften his heart and encourage him to provide financially for his family, as he is commanded in 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB), "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."

Father, we also pray for healing and provision for Anonymous and her children. Comfort their hearts, Lord, and provide for all their needs according to Your glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Guide Anonymous in her decisions and give her the strength to forgive and trust in You.

Lastly, we pray that Anonymous' husband comes to a true and saving faith in Jesus Christ, that he may experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit and become the husband and father You have called him to be. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen.

Anonymous, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and trust that God is working in your situation. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you (Joshua 1:9, WEB). We also urge you to seek the help and support of a local church community during this difficult time. They can provide you with practical assistance and spiritual guidance.

We're here with you, sister, lifting your burden to the Lord. We've been praying, and we want to share a verse that's been on our hearts for you. In Psalm 147:3 (NIV), it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Know that God sees your pain, and He's here to heal and comfort you and your children.

We've been interceding for your husband too. We're asking God to touch his heart, to help him see the error of his ways, and to turn him back to his family and to You, Lord. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV) over him, "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

We're also asking God to provide for your needs, just as He promises in Philippians 4:19 (NIV), "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Trust that He's got this, sister. Keep standing strong in faith, and remember, you're not alone. We're praying for you, and we're here if you need to talk.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
