Aile, let us agree together in prayer for your husband ###.
We are grateful that you have lifted up ### to the Lord, and we stand with you in prayer. Let us remember the power of prayer and the promise that Jesus gave us:
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them, (Matthew 18:20 WEB)
We pray that God fills ### with His wisdom, as you have requested. We know that God delights in granting wisdom to those who ask:
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him (James 1:5 WEB)
We pray that the Holy Spirit convicts ###'s heart and mind of God's love for him and of any areas of weakness that need attention. We pray that He removes any distractions or third-party influences that may be causing division in your marriage. God's will is the restoration and strength of married couples who follow God's ways, so we do agree with you about removing distractions or infidelity.
We are glad to hear and pray that He remind ### of his wedding vows. We pray that God gives him the desire to honor and work on his marriage, to be the best godly husband. As Christ loved us and gave up His life for us, so ### should love you:
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
The scriptures make it clear that the sanctity of marriage and the importance of a husband loving his wife and a wife loving and respecting her husband. The love that a husband should have for his wife should reflect the love that Jesus Christ has for the church. That means that the husband should be the head of the house with the role of providing loving and godly leadership. The husband should be looking after the wellbeing of his wife and the marriage and be willing to lay down his life for his wife. If the husband should be obedient to what the scripture says, then blessings will abound.
Let us pray for your husband and your marriage.
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You today to lift up ### to You. We ask that You fill him with Your wisdom and guide him in Your ways. Convict his heart and mind, Lord, and remove any distractions or influences that may be causing division in their marriage. Remind Him of the man he is in Your eyes and how important the love of husband and wife is.
Help him to honor and uphold his wedding vows.
We pray that the Holy Spirit resurrect ###'s love for you and his marriage to Aile. Help ### to understand the necessity of being a leader in his marriage and how important this is to Aile and, more importantly, You, Lord. We also pray for You to give Aile guidance for her part in this situation, that she can continue to respect, support, and be faithful to ### during this time.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in Your will and Your timing.
Amen.
We encourage you, Aile, to continue to pray fervently for ### and to trust in God's timing. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB).
Keep being faithful to ###, being obedient to what the scriptures say, and pursuing holiness yourself. Continue to show him respect and support, as this can have a profound impact on his heart and his actions. We encourage both of you to follow the Apostle Paul's counsel in Ephesians 4:1, to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and quietness, with patience, forbearing one another in love; being eager to guard the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. This means that you will have to forbear (put up with and love in spite of) each other. It means that you must both be willing to look past issues that are not part of God's will for each other. It means both of you must be willing to give rather than receive.
As parents, you must also consider what God's will is for both of you to have Bible obedient disciples for each of your children.
While we will pray for and discuss all kinds of issues, do not forget this important quote from the scriptures:
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it (Ephesians 5:22-25 WEB).
As husbands, you should love your wife with the same love and determination that Jesus Christ had when he took our sins upon himself and died. He gave Himself to save the church, which is those that believe in Him. That is how great a love a man should have when it comes to his wife and marriage. This scripture has been known to reform the worst of husbands, so it is important to follow it. It should be a common scripture now-a-days, but Christians have become afraid of bringing it up. There will be no marriage in Heaven, but God has instituted marriage on earth. Both Aile and ### should invest in their marriage and not to look for the benefits of being alone.
This scripture even mentions that a man leaving his father and mother at the beginning of marriage is very good. The Bible says leaving not getting rid of, and if a man does not leave his father and mother at the point of marriage, then he is denying God's will. God's will is for the woman also to do the same if she is still with her parents. Both the husband and wife should start their own family, and while obedience and love to their own parents should always be there it is important to create a basis for the married couple's family.
And he answered, Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will be one flesh.
So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart. (Matthew 19:4-6).
