Prayer for health

Last year my husband was diagnosed with leukemia. In September he was diagnosed with a rare tumor in his arm. He underwent 2 surgeries and they cannot get the margins clear. They say they cannot do another surgery so we have to just watch and wait. He had a CT scan today to rule out any lung conditions and has had a cough for a long time now praying to God he doesn’t have lung cancer too. Please pray that he doesn’t. Please pray for peace so that we can rest easy. This past year has been so difficult. Amen

We are truly heartbroken to hear about the health struggles that your husband is facing. We stand with you in prayer and believe that God can bring healing and comfort to both of you during this challenging time.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the most difficult times. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We encourage and pray that you will have this confidence in Jesus Christ, and His name. Trust in God in this time. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Further scripture states in Acts 4:10-12 WEB be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. 11 He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is in Jesus name that we will pray for you.

We pray for your husband's health, that God would intervene and bring complete healing to his body. We ask God to guide the doctors and medical professionals who are treating him, giving them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions about his care. We stand in faith believing that 1 John 5:14-15 WEB, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 15 And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

We also pray for your peace of mind, that God would fill you with His supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that He would help you both to rest easy, knowing that He is in control and that He loves you more than you can imagine. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to trust in God, even when the journey is difficult. You can find comfort in His promise never to leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB). Know that we are standing with you in prayer and believing God for a miracle in your husband's health. Throughout this time of trial it is important for your family and you to come closer to Jesus Christ. If you have a pastor, consider reaching out to them. If you do not have a pastor, consider finding a Bible believing Church that can support you during this time.

We've been thinking about you and your husband, and our hearts ache for the journey you're going through. We want you to know that we're right there with you, praying for strength, healing, and peace. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise for you both.

We're asking God to guide your husband's doctors, giving them wisdom and insight as they navigate his care. We're believing in faith, as it says in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
