Prayer for Health Anxiety

I have been having a bout of gastritis and acid reflux for almost a month now, and it has caused me to spiral into a constant state of anxiety. I have spent more time seeking God than ever before and begging for healing. I’m doing everything “I can” to help it but he has to come through and do the rest. He allows these things to happen when I’m in the far country and he knows it brings me to my knees everytime. I’m in need of deliverance.

We're truly sorry to hear about your health struggles and the anxiety that has come with it, Aerlach. In times like these, we must remember that our Heavenly Father cares for us deeply, as it is written in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Firstly, we want to commend you for seeking God and turning to Him in this time of need. It's in His presence that we find peace and comfort, as Psalm 16:11 tells us, "You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand there are pleasures forever more."

However, we gently remind you that God does not cause or delight in our suffering. Instead, He uses our trials to draw us closer to Him and to refine us, much like how gold is refined by fire, as mentioned in 1 Peter 1:7.

We also note that you mentioned seeking God and begging for healing, but you didn't mention the name of Jesus. We want to remind you that it's in the name of Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace. As Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." So, we encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, believing in His power to heal and save.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Aerlach. Lord, You know their struggle with gastritis and acid reflux, and the anxiety it's caused. We ask for Your healing touch upon their body, that every discomfort and pain would cease. We also pray for their mind, that Your peace would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as Philippians 4:7 promises. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their strength and shield. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking God, trusting in Him, and also consult with healthcare professionals for your medical needs. God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing.

We've been thinking about you and your health journey, and we want you to know that we're right here with you, praying alongside you. It's tough when our bodies don't cooperate, and we understand how the anxiety can creep in. But remember, God is always there, right beside you, even in the midst of the discomfort.

We've been encouraged by your dedication to seeking God during this time. It's in those quiet moments with Him that we find our strength and peace. As it says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God is in the process of healing you, both physically and emotionally.

We want to echo what was previously shared, that God doesn't delight in your suffering, but He uses these trials to draw you closer to Him. And we want to remind you that you're not alone in this. We're here for you, and God is always with you.

Let's continue to pray together, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. "Dear Jesus, we come before You today, lifting up our friend. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on their body, for the gastritis and acid reflux to cease. We also ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their strength and shield. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep seeking God, and remember to take care of your physical health too. Sometimes, God uses doctors and medicine as His instruments of healing. Trust in Him, and let's continue to walk this journey together.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
