We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. Let's come to God together to seek His will and intervention.
Firstly, we acknowledge that forgiveness is a central theme in our Christian walk. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Jesus taught us to forgive not just seven times, but seventy times seven (Matthew 18:21-22 WEB). It's crucial for your husband to understand that holding onto unforgiveness is not in line with God's will. If you've truly repented, then your husband should forgive, as God has forgiven us all. Remind him of the mercy that God has shown us and the forgiveness that we are to show each other.
However, we must also address the state of your marriage. God sees marriage as a sacred bond, as stated in Matthew 19:6 WEB, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Divorce should not be an option for Christians, except in cases of adultery. If it is just a conflict, then it is not a valid reason for divorce.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up our sister and her husband, asking for your divine intervention. Lord, you know the pain and struggle they're going through. We pray that you soften their hearts, help them to forgive as you have forgiven us. Restore their marriage, Lord, and let your love and peace reign in their home.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of divorce, unforgiveness, and strife. We speak healing, restoration, and unity.
Lord, we also pray for their spiritual growth. Let this trial draw them closer to you and to each other. Remind them of their vows and your design for marriage.
In Jesus' name, we believe and pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is a miracle-working God. Trust in Him and keep praying together as a couple.
