We are with you in spirit, lifting up your husband in prayer for his healing and restoration. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His will for your husband's life.
Firstly, it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Just as the disciples were delivered from prison, we will pray that your husband will be delivered from this illness.
Let us consider the following scripture from Daniel 3:17-29.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace; and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Therefore he commanded that the furnace should be made seven times hotter than it was usually heated. He commanded certain mighty men who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their pants, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other garments, and were cast into the middle of the burning fiery furnace. Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the middle of the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste: he spoke and said to his counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the middle of the fire? They answered the king, True, O king. He answered, Look, I see four men loose, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are unharmed; and the aspect of the fourth is like a son of the gods. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here! Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the middle of the fire. The high officials, the commissioners, and the governors being gathered together, saw that the fire had no power on the bodies of these men, and the hair of their head was not singed. Their pants were not changed, the smell of fire was not on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Just as God was able to deliver Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the fiery furnace, He is able to deliver your husband from his sickness. He may be afflicted by the illness, just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were afflicted by the heat of the furnace. But just as their lives were not taken, He may plan to spare your husband's life. God even wants to send His angel to deliver those who trust in Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing power for our dear brother in Christ. We ask that You touch his body, heal his infirmities, and grant him renewed strength and comfort. Guide him through this trial, Lord, and remove all doubts and worries from his mind and heart. Help him to trust in You completely and grant him Your perfect peace.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Together, let us encourage your husband to be strong and courageous. Remind him that the Lord is with him. Some say that Christians should only say positive things. But this is not true. Christians are told the truth. The truth is that not only might your husband be healed, but he also might die. Christians have to be the brave ones and talk about the real possibilities, for we have the truth. We can talk about the grim possibilities, for we have hope in Jesus Christ. He might have a good outcome or a bad outcome. But we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. We know that whether your husband lives or dies, God is able to use this for good. We know that even if your husband dies, yet shall he live.
Jesus Christ said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
Your husband is facing his mortality. He must be reminded of this. He must be reminded of his sinfulness. He must trust Jesus Christ to save him from his sins and cherish Him as the Lord of his life.
We will continue to pray for your husband's healing, but we also encourage you both to seek the Lord's will through this trial. May God use this situation to draw you both closer to Him and to each other. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. As a husband and a wife you must in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.
Please keep us updated on your husband's progress so that we can continue to pray and support you both through this time. In Jesus Name.
