Jeyland, we are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing in your marriage and the pain of your miscarriage. We are here to pray and offer biblical counsel with you.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and we commend you for seeking reconciliation and praying for your spouse. It is right and biblical to pray for his return to God, as it is only through a right relationship with God that your marriage can truly be restored. Remember, Jesus said, "For apart from me, you can do nothing." (John 15:5 WEB).
However, we must address the sin of adultery that your spouse has engaged in by talking to another woman. This is not God's will for your marriage. God's standard is clear: "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14 WEB). But take heart, for God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). Pray for your spouse's repentance and forgiveness, and for God to heal your marriage.
In regards to the miscarriage, we grieve with you. Know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). He cares for you and your spouse in this time of sorrow.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Jeyland and her spouse to You. Lord, we pray for their marriage, that You would restore and heal what has been broken. We ask that You would convict her spouse of his sin and draw him back to You, that he may repent and be forgiven. Help them to forgive each other, as You have forgiven us.
Lord, we also pray for healing from the pain of their miscarriage. Comfort them in their sorrow, and help them to draw near to You and to each other as they grieve.
In all things, Lord, help them to seek Your will and Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, Jeyland. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Keep praying and keep seeking God, for He is faithful.
