We join you, sboarding09, in lifting up your father before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. We stand with you in the name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who healed the sick and commanded us to pray for one another that we may be healed.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In this time of need, we turn to the promises of God's word, knowing that He cares for our healing and restoration. We find hope in the Psalm 103:2-3 WEB: "Praise Yahweh, my soul! Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." See how the Lord forgives iniquities and heals, yet the condition of the promise is to praise Him and forget not His benefits in our lives.
We pray for your father's kidneys, that the Lord would touch them and heal them, preserving their function, and preventing further damage. We ask for wisdom and discernment for the doctors, that they would have the knowledge and understanding to provide the best care possible. We remember the words of James 1:5: "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." So, we ask God to guide your father's doctors and provide them with the wisdom they need to care for him.
We also lift up all parents and grandparents, asking God to bless them with good health and longevity, that they may enjoy quality time with their families and grandchildren. We pray for their salvation, that they would begin to enjoy the fellowship of God and His forgiveness. We remember the promise of Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you." We ask God to bless them as a reward for the love and honor shown to them by their children and grandchildren.
Lastly, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith, trusting in the Lord's will for your father's life. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 21:22 WEB: "All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Continue to believe and trust in the power of prayer, and may the Lord strengthen you and encourage you as you wait upon Him. We close by praying ephesians 6:24 WEB: Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
