We are truly heartened to join you in prayer and to stand with you in this challenging time. We affirm your desire to seek God's healing and restoration for your family. It is clear that you are both struggling with depression and anxiety, and that your marriage and family life have been greatly impacted. You are bearing a heavy burden of guilt and it is our prayer that the Lord Jesus will lift this from you. First, we need to remind you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The restored relationship with God and all the blessings are available to you because of your faith in Jesus.
In Romans 8:1-2 (WEB) we read, For there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
God wants to heal you emotionally and spiritually, and He wants to restore your marriage and family. It is important to remember that God can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and blessing. We are reminded of this in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Regarding your marriage, we encourage you both to seek God's will and to commit to loving and supporting each other as God intends. In Ephesians 5:25-28 (WEB) we read, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect. 28 Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
We pray that God will strengthen your husband and give him the courage and faith to lead your family through this trial. We pray that you both will be filled with God's love, peace, and patience. It is our prayer that God will be working through your lives to draw you closer to Him and to each other.
As for your feelings of jealousy, we remind you of the words in Proverbs 14:30 (WEB), "A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but jealousy rots the bones." We pray that God will help you overcome these feelings and fill your heart with trust and contentment.
We believe it is important to address your appeal for God to save you. This phrasing makes us want to ensure that you have come to the place in your life where you have faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible makes it clear that salvation is a gift from God and can be found only through Jesus Christ.
In Acts 4:12 (WEB) we read, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We pray with you and your family.
"Father, we come before you in Jesus' name. We thank you for the love You have bestowed upon us and your faithfulness. We pray for this family, that You will heal them emotionally and spiritually. Lord, lift the burden of guilt and grant them Your peace. We pray for their marriage, that You will restore and strengthen it, and that their love for each other will reflect Your love for us. We pray for their children, that You will protect them and give them peace and understanding. We ask for Your help regarding the jealous feelings, and we pray that You will replace them with trust and contentment. We also pray that You will guide this family in Your will. We ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen."
