However, we must also remember that God calls us to forgive others just as He has forgiven us. In the Lord's Prayer, we ask God to forgive us as we forgive others (Matthew 6:12, WEB). This does not mean that what happened is acceptable, but rather, it frees us from the burden of anger and bitterness.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up ###. Lord, she is hurting from the pain of betrayal, and she needs your healing touch. Comfort her, Lord, as only you can.
