We understand that you are seeking harmony within your church and worship team, and we want to address the issues biblically and provide a heartfelt prayer for your situation.
Firstly, we must acknowledge the work of the enemy in causing division and strife. It is not uncommon for spiritual warfare to intensify as a church grows. The Bible tells us, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
However, it is crucial to remember that God calls us to unity and love. "Walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."Ephesians 4:1-3 WEB.
Addressing the specific issues, we see that there are accusations of stubbornness and not listening. However, after talking with all sides, it becomes clear that the root of the division lies with the two who joined later and the sound tech. It is important to address these issues with love and truth. "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother." Matthew 18:15 WEB.
Regarding the sound tech's behavior, bullying is not acceptable, even in church. Bullying is sin and does not honor God. Lets pray they will seek an reference and desire to change behavior and heart. If necessary a church elder or leader may need to consider a rebuke, church discipline, or even a replacement if the situation continues. "Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to keep away from every brother who walks in rebellion and not after the tradition they received from us."2 Thessalonians 3:6 WEB.
Regarding servants joining and causing division rather than unity and peace and ignoring controversial statements made against them we remember Ephesians 4:3,4 WEB "making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling". If after sufficient prayer, rebuke, and discussion there is no improvement, church discipline including replacing in the worship team, may be required. The congregation may consider asking the the newer members of the worship team to step down. The congregation may also consider asking someone to mentor them in the word of God as they continue to study the word of God, but the members of our Lord's body and servants of our Lord must always make every possible effort to insure unity of Christ. The Lord commands it and we can do no less.
Concerning the prayer request, we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Romans 10:13 WEB. Therefore, we encourage you to always pray in Jesus' name and remind others they must include Jesus easily lose access to God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for the growth in our church. We pray for unity and love among the members, especially within the worship team. Lord, we ask You to touch the hearts of Megan C., Annette H., and Brittany W., that they may grow in Your grace and knowledge, submitting to Your will, and walking in Your ways. Help them,GOD, not to Davids or Eves see too many or see every tree but make them see and know the only one tree see the tree of life.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of division and strife, and we ask You to heal the relationships within the team. Help each team relate and assist each team member to view each other as precious men, women, and children created in the image of GOD. Soften their hearts, Lord, and help them to bear with one another in love. Help them to forgive even their true enemies as your son, our savior, King Jesus, commanded us to do, much less each other. May not pleasing things that need to be said to be said with humility and grace with a desire for true conflict resolution then not just the surface but true brought to surface conflict resolution. Guide them, Lord, as they seek to serve You together. Even when trouble arises, may your Holy Spirit continue to expand their heart and spark love in the spirit to yield true Fruit. And last, but not least, may you expand this desire for this to the whole church.
Lord, and may the original couple see this as an burden rather than a blessing, may they grow through this experience.
In Jesus' name, and by His blood, we pray. Amen.
