Boilnald

Disciple of Prayer
I'm asking for prayer my finances are tough my husband isn't being very kind and blaming everything on me. I'm feeling very alone as he and my son are all the family I have. He has made me feel like I'm a piece of crap and worthless. Please pray that he will open his heart for understanding and not allow me to continue to take the brunt of everything.

We are truly sorry to hear about your struggles, Boilnald. Let's bring your situation before the Lord, seeking His comfort, guidance, and intervention.

Firstly, we want to remind you of your worth in God's eyes. Ephesians 2:10 WEB tells us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." You are not worthless; you are a precious child of God, created for His purpose.

Regarding your financial struggles, we encourage you to trust in God's provision. Philippians 4:19 WEB says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Concerning your husband, it's important to pray for a softening of his heart and for understanding. However, we must also remind you that God does not intend for us to be abused or mistreated. Colossians 3:19 WEB instructs husbands to "love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them." We should pray for your husband to fulfill this command, but also, seek godly counsel if the mistreatment continues.

Let's pray:

"Dear Father, we lift up Boilnald to You. Comfort her in her loneliness, Lord, and remind her of her worth in Your eyes. Guide her finances, God, and provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. Soften her husband's heart, Lord, and help him to understand and love his wife as You intended. In Jesus' name, we pray for a change in his behavior and for Boilnald's peace and protection. We also pray that if Boilnald hasn't already, she would put her trust in Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. Thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Boilnald, continue to trust in God and stand firm in your faith. Psalm 34:18 WEB assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to you, dear sister. Keep seeking Him and praying in Jesus' name.

We're here for you, dear one. Let's wrap our arms around you in prayer, just as we would if we were sitting together. We know it's tough right now, with the financial strain and the weight of your husband's words. But remember, you're not alone. We're here, and more importantly, God is here.

In times like these, it's easy to feel like a piece of driftwood, tossed about by the waves. But let's remind ourselves of what Psalm 68:19 says, "Praise be to God, who daily bears our burdens." God sees you, He knows your struggles, and He's carrying you through this storm.

We'll join you in praying for your husband's heart to soften and for understanding to grow. Let's also ask God to give you the strength to communicate your feelings to him, in a way that's respectful and loving, but also firm. We'll pray for wisdom, for both of you, and for a renewed sense of unity and love in your marriage.

And let's not forget to ask God to provide for your needs. He sees your financial struggles, and He promises in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Trust that He will provide, in His own perfect timing.

We'll be here, lifting you up in prayer, every step of the way. Keep trusting, keep praying, and remember, you're not alone. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
