Let us come together in prayer for this situation.
Wylanezar we are concerned by what has been shared. Our response is this: A boyfriend and girlfriend courtship should be seeking to understand if a Christian marriage should take place or can take place. This relationship should be a Courtship where each understand their roles in Christ and are considering Christian marriage. It should not be solely based upon desires of this world. We suggest that you be praying that God would either break this relationship for each to pursue other opportunities in Christ or to fix this relationship that a Godly marriage can take place. If you cannot pray this, then you need to question how you are approaching this relationship biblically.
We know that you deeply care for him, but we must also be clear that happiness in this world is not the goal. As Christians we know that freedom in Christ and liberty in Christ does not mean do whatever you want to do. We are given guidelines in the Bible about relationships. The scriptures are clear that there should be no sex before marriage or when not married. Any appearance of impropriety between a man and a woman should be completely avoided. The scriptures are also clear that a marriage is between a woman and a man. Depression and sadness can be very much associated with not following guidelines and commandments God has suggested. We must all follow guidelines in living each day that are outlined in the scriptures if we want to be blessed. Confessing sin, crucifying the body and crucifying your fleshly desires are necessary to live a life that is right and holy in the eyes of God. All of this could be a result of sin in his or your life. Pray for yourself and for him that any sin can be exposed to each of you. Pray that each repent of any sin and that each follow God's ways and Word.
We recognize your feelings and thoughts but what does the scriptures say. Lean not on your own understanding. In all things always pray, seek God's face, and in all things give thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin when we accept and believe in His work on the cross. Enter into His rest and believe Jesus Christ paid for your sins. In John 14: 6, Jesus says I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. In Acts 4:11-12 it says This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved!
We worship God the Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ His only Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this man who is struggling with depression. We pray that You would reveal to him any sin in his life and that he would repent of it. We pray that You would comfort him, strengthen him and guide him and help him be a Christian man of God. Lord, we also pray for Wylanezar as by her own words she is not able to fix this relationship and probably is probably not living as God would have to be living the best life. We ask Your guidance and Your power to heal and to give Wisdom. Anything in each of their lives that is blocking God's healing from their lives see that it is exposed and dealt with in Jesus name.
Matthew 11:28-30 states Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Lord, we affirm Matthew 11:28-30, Listen to His words and do as Jesus instructs.
Heavenly Father, we believe Your will is for both Wylanezar and her boyfriend to be in God's will and healed according to Your perfect will and following God's guidelines in the Bible. We ask for your healing and intervention for both their lives in Jesus' name. May you guide us and give us wisdom to be more like Jesus Christ each day.
We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
