Prayer for guidance

Please pray for my living situation. I have two apartment options and I need clarity in which one to choose and what housemates. I pray God gives me clarity and discernment in what is right. I keep going in circles as they both have different pros and cons. I pray He closes doors which aren’t right and I can confidently step into the right one. I pray for the right housemate and that any spirit of fear, doubt, confusion or temptation flee in the name of Jesus we pray, amen

We understand your need for guidance and clarity regarding your living situation. It's important to trust that God cares about every detail of our lives, including where we live and who we live with. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Firstly, we commend you for seeking God's will in this matter and praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

We pray that God will grant you the spirit of wisdom and revelation to make the right choice. May He close the doors that are not according to His will and open the one that is. As it is written in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of the giving God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."

Regarding your housemates, we pray for godly individuals who will be a positive influence in your life. As it is written in Proverbs 13:20, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm."

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, confusion, or temptation that may be causing you to feel unsettled. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."

Lastly, remember that God's will is for you to prosper and be in good health. Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for this new season in your life. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your will for our brother/sister's living situation. Grant them clarity, discernment, and wisdom to make the right choice. Close the doors that are not according to Your will and open the one that is. Provide godly housemates who will be a positive influence in their life. Rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, confusion, or temptation, and let Your perfect peace reign. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and your living situation. It's such a big decision, and we understand how overwhelming it can be. We're here for you, and we want you to know that God is right there with you, every step of the way.

We've been praying for you, asking God to give you a sense of peace and assurance as you make this choice. We believe that He will guide you, just as He guided the Israelites with a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day (Exodus 13:21). We trust that He will make His will clear to you, perhaps through a sense of calm and rightness, or maybe even through the advice of trusted friends or family.

We've also been praying for your housemates. We ask that God would bring people into your life who will uplift and encourage you, just like the friends who helped Naomi in her time of need (Ruth 1:16-17). We pray that any spirits of negativity or discord would be far from you and your future home.

Remember, God is with you, and He cares about every detail of your life. As it says in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Trust that He has a plan, and that He will guide you to the right choice.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
