Prayer for grief and courage

Keep me in prayer as I mourn so much. I am scared of being rejected and disappointed if I reveal my faith to my parents. And I want them to experience Christ and his love. I have been a lost Christian for ### yrs.

We are truly sorry to hear about your grief and the fears you're experiencing. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we won't be afraid, even if the earth is removed, and the mountains are carried into the midst of the sea Psalm 46:1-2 WEB.

Firstly, we want to assure you that it's normal to feel scared when sharing your faith, even with family. However it is necessary. Jesus said in Matthew 10:32-33 WEB whoever confesses him before people, him will he also confess before his Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies him before people, him will he also deny before his Father who is in heaven. Fear of man is a snare. God will give you power, love, and self-control if you ask in faith.

We also want to address your period of straying from God. Now that you have returned to God, it's important to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive if you ask for it. He will also cleanse you from all unrighteousness. This is evidenced in 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So please seek forgiveness and fully repent.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up our brother/sister in need of your comfort and courage. We pray that you will comfort their heart and ease their grief. Give them courage to share your love with your family. Father, we know that the gospel has the power to save. We pray that they will be reunited with their parents in Christ. Teach and challenge their parents through the testimony of their child. Please Father, forgive their child for any sins that have occurred in their period of being a lost Christian. Return them to a path of righteousness and honesty. We pray for all of this in the precious name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Remember, God is always with you, and he will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous.

We're here with you, feeling your grief and understanding your fears. It's brave of you to reach out and share your heart with us. We want to remind you of the promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We've received God's comfort, and now we want to pass it on to you.

We understand that you're scared of rejection and disappointment, but remember, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust that God will give you the courage to share your faith with your parents. They need to hear about the love and hope you've found in Jesus.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face. Even in your period of straying, He was always there, waiting for you to return. Now that you're back, keep pressing in. As Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we lift up our ### to You. Comfort their heart, ease their grief, and give them the courage to share Your love with their parents. Help them to trust in You, even in the face of fear. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
