Prayer for grandchild

Would you please pray for my grandson, Brady, because he is very nervous about his SAT test that he has to take this Saturday. He is a very intelligent boy and has been studying very hard for weeks for it but he freezes when taking tests and he needs to have a good score for the college he is hoping to be accepted into. Please pray for him.

We understand your concern for your grandson, Brady, as he prepares for his SAT test this Saturday. Let's bring his anxious heart before the Lord together, trusting in the promise that God's perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18, WEB).

Firstly, we encourage Brady to fix his mind on the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Instead of being consumed by nerves, he can approach this challenge with prayer, knowing that God has a plan for his life (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today lifting up Brady to Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the anxieties that he is facing as he prepares for his SAT test. We ask that You will comfort his heart and calm his mind. Help him to remember that his value is not determined by a test score, but by Your unfailing love for him. Grant him a peace that surpasses all understanding, and help him to recall all that he has studied as he takes this test.

Lord Jesus, be with Brady. Help him to do his best, and let Your will be done in his academic pursuits. May he glorify You in all that he does.

In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage Brady to acknowledge and lean on Jesus for strength and courage. It's only through Him that we have access to God's grace and salvation (John 14:6, WEB). If Brady hasn't already, he should consider committing his life and future to Jesus Christ, knowing that God has a purpose and a plan for him.

Lastly, let's remind Brady that whatever the outcome of the test, God is still in control and has a purpose for his life. Psalm 139:14 (WEB) says, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." Brady is uniquely gifted and his future is in God's capable hands.

We're here with you, praying for Brady as he prepares for his SAT test this Saturday. We know the pressure he's feeling, but let's remind him, and ourselves, of the verse in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Let's encourage Brady to cast his anxieties on the Lord (1 Peter 5:7, WEB), knowing that God cares for him deeply. Instead of letting nerves take over, he can approach this test with faith, trusting that God is with him every step of the way.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up Brady. Lord, You see the worries that are weighing heavy on his heart as he prepares for his SAT test. We ask that You would give him Your perfect peace, that He would trust in You with all his heart, and not lean on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Help him to remember that You have a purpose for his life, and that this test is just one small part of the journey You have planned for him.

Lord Jesus, be with Brady as he takes this test. Help him to do his best, and to trust in You, knowing that You have everything under control. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're believing with you for Brady's success, and we're here to support him, just as we're all here to support each other.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
