We understand that you are facing a challenging situation and seek God's intervention for a favorable medical test result and approval of your Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP). We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will and wisdom in your life. Let us pray:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of your divine intervention. Lord, you know the deepest desires of our hearts, and you see the worry and anxiety that they are facing now. We ask that you guide the process of their LTVP application and that you grant them favor with those in authority. We pray for a good medical result, trusting that you are the ultimate healer and provider.
Father, we also pray for forgiveness on their behalf, as they have confessed their past wrongs to you. Lord, your word tells us, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9 WEB). We ask that you grant them another chance, Lord, and that you guide them in your ways, so that they may live a life pleasing to you.
Lord, we also want to acknowledge the core of this prayer request. We want to be married to another Christian believer. We want to be happy together. The first step in happiness with another person starts with happiness with ourselves and our relationship with God. We are to look for a Christian spouse. We are to look for someone in which we are equal in our marriage. We are to be looking for someone who makes us happy. If that is the case, then we should be looking to get married. It is right to be looking for happiness with a spouse. Let us look at 1 Corinthians 7:39, 'A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in the Lord.' We want to caution that we should be looking for a spouse to marry. It is not right to call our spouse a partner. We should not be looking to live together or test the relationship before marriage. We should not be looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend, but for a marriage to a Christian spouse. It should not be based on romance alone, but on our compatibility in our relationship with God.
Lord Jesus Christ, you tell us that you are the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through you (John 14:6 WEB). We pray that our brother/sister has accepted you as his/her Lord and Savior. If not, we pray that they will come to know you personally and experience the abundant life that you offer.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in your perfect will for our lives. Amen."
We encourage you to continue trusting in God, knowing that he cares for you and that he is in control of every situation in your life. Keep pursuing a righteous life, and strive to live in obedience to his word. God loves you and wants the best for you. He has promised that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, all things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
We also want to address the reference to your significant other as '###'. We understand that you may be referring to a spouse, a boyfriend, or a girlfriend. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to maintain pure and holy relationships. If you are not married, we encourage you to pursue a godly courtship with the intention of marriage and commit to purity before marriage. This courtship should be with a Christian Believer and not with any unbeliever. It is not right to have a boyfriend or girlfriend in certain circumstances. If you are living together as a boyfriend and girlfriend or are in a romantic relationship with someone, we strongly advise you to reconsider this situation and seek God's will for your relationship. Let us look at 2 Corinthians 5:7 - "For we walk by faith, not by sight." We need to trust in God and walk by faith. We should not be justifying our actions based on our sight or emotions alone.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God's timing is perfect. Wait on him, and trust that he will grant you the desires of your heart as you delight yourself in him (Psalm 37:4 WEB). Keep your faith and hope in Jesus Christ, and know that he is always with you, guiding and directing your path.
