We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your husband and son. Let's bring your concerns before the Lord and seek His guidance and intervention.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God's design for the family involves love, respect, and mutual submission. The Bible tells us, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. (Ephesians 5:22-23 WEB) and Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
However, this does not mean that husbands should act in a controlling manner. Rather, they should lead with love and consideration. The Bible also teaches us, You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7 WEB)
It's clear that your husband's behavior is causing strife and discord in your family, which is contrary to God's will. For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB)
Let's pray together for your family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this family in prayer. Lord, You see the tension and strife that has entered their home, and we ask for Your intervention.
Firstly, we pray for the husband. Lord, You have called him to lead his family with love and wisdom. Please soften his heart and help him to see the error of his controlling ways. Convict him of his actions and grant him the humility to seek forgiveness from his wife and son. Guide him to lead with love, patience, and understanding, as You do with us.
We also pray for the wife. Lord, grant her the strength and wisdom to navigate this difficult situation. Help her to communicate effectively with her husband and son, and give her the courage to speak the truth in love.
For the son, we ask that You would grant him the spirit of deep sleep. Lord, help him to find rest and peace, both physically and spiritually. We also pray that You would heal any wounds of low self-esteem and draw him closer to You.
Finally, we pray for unity and restoration in this family. Lord, help them to communicate openly and honestly, to forgive one another, and to walk in love and harmony.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
It's important to remember that God honors prayers that are offered in line with His will and in the name of Jesus. As it is written, If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. (John 14:14 WEB). Continue to pray fervently for your family, trusting that God is at work.
Lastly, consider seeking godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor. They can provide additional guidance and support as you navigate this challenging situation.
Stand firm in your faith and remember that with God, all things are possible. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)
