We understand that you're seeking prayer for an improved memory and the ability to learn new things, including scripture. Let's first remember God's promise: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13 WEB.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ lifting up this dear one who desires to have a better memory and to learn new things. We pray that You will renew their mind and strengthen their memory. We ask that You will bless them with the ability to learn new jobs with the ease of your Spirit, wisdom and knowledge guiding them in Jesus' name. Like the Psalmist says in Psalm 119:148, "My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word" and like Ezra who "had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and ordinances." in Ezra 7:10 WEB.
We pray, Father, that this person will hide your word in their heart, that they might not sin against you in Psalm 119:11 WEB. We ask that the Holy Spirit will bring to their remembrance all that they have learned and read, that their proficiency will increase, and that they will be able to recall scripture with ease.
We also pray that they will press on to know Jesus more, that they will be strengthened by His joy as their strength is renewed. We pray that they will live a life of faithfulness to You and Your word, serving You in Nehemiah 8:10 WEB, "Then he said to them, Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for today is holy to our Lord. Don't be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God's word daily, for it is through constant fellowship with Him that we gain spiritual strength and understanding. Remember, it is the Holy Spirit who will bring to your remembrance all that you have learned and read. Be encouraged by the words of James 1:5 WEB, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him". We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of your faith.
We look forward to hearing how God is working in your life.
