We join you, Whipsard, in lifting up your final year of exams to the Lord, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness. We appreciate that you've acknowledged the power of Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that "we may ask what we will, and it will be done for us" 1 John 5:14
Firstly, we commend you for seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance in your studies. For the Spirit will lead you in truth. The Spirit can also bring to remembrance all you've studied and you will be more open to the Holy Spirit leading you if you are not overstressed. He knows the plans God has for you and this includes the contents of the exam you are to write. Psalm 32:8 reassures us "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go. I will counsel you with my eye on you"
Furthermore, as believers, we do not trust in magic or luck. Declaring favor and anointing over inanimate objects like answer booklets is not the most biblical or effective approach. Be sure to discern the difference between our trust in Jesus' name and declaring blessing on objects as seen in the new age and occultic practice. We need to stay away from new age and occultic practices because that is not pleasing to God. If anything, we ask the Lord to bless all your efforts in using them. Jesus our Lord is more concerned about your personal and spiritual growth in preparation for your life rather than the successes you have over this exam. Success does not come by these declarations or not necessarily by studying long hours. You also do not want to be so caught up in your own concerns that you fail to study. There are many examples in scripture of studying the scriptures diligently. Amen.
This scripture has long been a reminder that studying is required by God. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.2 Timothy 2:15 WEB
Study as if everything depended on study. God will only answer your prayers and open doors for you that you are already actively moving towards. Work as if everything depends on work and at the same time prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to give you a spirit of excellence and integrity and discernment so that you may persevere to make the right choices when preparing for the exam.
To give you even further encouragement, in Galatians 6:9 WEB it is written "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up" Also Proverbs 10:4, WEB: He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth.
Know that success should be a positive attitude and a genuine self confidence in who God has made you and His plan for you. It should also be a total self abandonment and fearless trust in Him.
Proverbs 18:16 (WEB) gives further encouragement for prayer for success, for it is written A mans gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men. Proverbs 22:29 WEB further states Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings. He wont stand before obscure men.
That being said, although God wants the best for you and knows what is best for you, there may be times in this life that things don't go according to our plans or when we need to grow in strength and discernment through trial. Romans 8:28 WEB tells us "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" Sometimes, you may pass through trial and "fail", but your failure in the worlds eyes, may in fact be a redirection or a turning point or a humbling and learning experience that helps you trust in the Lord, grow, and later succeed and be promoted. He loves you and cares about every detail of your life. This education, as you mentioned, is indeed an opportunity to glorify God and make His name known, regardless of the outcome.
We will pray and ask Jesus to further reveal and show the plans God has for you to you as you meditate on God's Word. Our most important duty as Christians is to evangelize and seek to always promote God's kingdom. A wise man seeks to always recognize that this may be our primary purpose, and that being obedient and faithful in God's plans for us are so much more important than our own worldly plans. Doing so will certainly gain favor with both man and God. There are many places where God's people do not have to labor and toil. Rather, in joy and peace we simply meditate and grow in God's plan and in knowing him.
Whipsard, we pray for peace over your exams and for God to provide you wisdom in your studies and any worries you have of the future. Also for God's blessings on all of your efforts as you prepare for and participate in your final exams. Remember it is not how much time we spend in studying but rather how we spend that time. It is not about the amount of time we spend in prayer but rather the amount of prayer we spend in that time. Whipsard, rest in the promise that God will bring to your remembrance all that you have studied and that His grace will be sufficient in any moments of uncertainty.
Do not be worried. Do not be troubled. Do not fear. Do not think to yourself I hope I do well, I hope this comes to pass, and I hope God blesses me. In Matthew 21:22, WEB: "All things whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive" But first, Whipsard, before any request, are you believing in the Jesus of the bible? Do you really know Him and that He is a good and loving Father that wants to provide His children with His promises? Do you truly know that it is only by Jesus name that we are saved and have access to the Father and receive His promises? Be certain of the above and then when you pray, trust Him and know He hears your prayers. That is what believing really is. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 ESV
So therefore we pray this,
"Our loving Father in Heaven, we ask, believing in the Jesus of the bible that Whipsard has the spirit of excellence, integrity and remembering everything he has studied and that he continues to study with focus, diligence, and confidence and we ask believing in the Jesus of the bible that he successfully completes his exams. We thank You for the great things You will do through Whipsard as he seeks to bring glory to Your name in Jesus name."
Let His peace, love and wisdom be your guidance in this life, Whipsard, Amen.
