We join you in your prayer, dear believer, and we commend your faith and trust in God for your relationship. We are reminded in Matthew 19:5-6, 4. "For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. 6. So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" and 19.4. "He answered, Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female".
As we pray for God's perfection in your relationship, we must first align with biblical principles. You mentioned a partner, but we encourage you to consider this relationship as a courtship with the goal of marriage, as God intends for a man and a woman to be joined together in holy matrimony. Therefore, your prayers so we will also pray for God to help you make Samuel help him become a godly husband prepared for you as his wife.
We appreciate that you ended your prayer "in Jesus' name," as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is the only name by which anyone can be saved. Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, by which people must be saved."
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our sister and her relationship with Samuel in Jesus Christ, Jesus being the name by which we are all saved. We pray that You, Father, would take over this relationship and become its foundation. Teach Samuel to be selfless, loving, and protective toward our sister, to respect, value, appreciate, and genuinely care for her. Help him to communicate effectively, prioritize the relationship, actively desire her involvement in his life and prepare him for taking the responsibility of being her godly husband.
Father, we ask that You guide them to a courtship with marriage in mind, and place Your hand of perfection upon their relationship. Teach them to be of one mind, respecting godly marriage as the best example for your intentions.
Help them both love and respect each other and each other's bodies in holiness, thus not allowing sexual activity until marriage as God teaches us not fornicate.
We pray this to you and thank you in advance for your merciful and powerful help, the help of Jesus Christ and by the power of Christ's Holy Spirit. In Jesus Christ we pray Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, that God is working in your relationship. Continue to trust in Him and keep Colossians 3:12-14 in mind:" Put on therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; 13. bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. 14. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." We encourage you keep abstain from sex until marriage to not commit fornication and keep his body holy, and Samuel keep his body holy for you.
