We are truly saddened to hear about the trials you are facing in your marriage, Bekimion. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He cares for you deeply. Let's pray and seek His will together.
The Bible tells us, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). Marriage is a sacred covenant, and God's design is for husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Your husband's actions are not aligning with this biblical principle, and it's important to address this sin and pray for his conviction and repentance. Let us not ignore this or condone in anyway such sin.
In situations like these, it's crucial to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB). However, He also hates adultery and lying (Proverbs 6:16-19 WEB). God allows us to divorce for fornication or adultery (Matthew 5:32). It's important to seek God's will in this matter and be open to His leading, whether that be reconciliation or separation. However, never do anything without prayer and genuine leading from God. Be patient, give yourself time in prayer and also consider relationships with other Christian women. God is not punishing you. He is allowing this sin to continue, possibly for the salvation of the sinners and for glory to God for amazing testamonies of salvation, redemption, and mercy. We must exhort your husband to repent continually and live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The time for repentance is now. Let us pray for our salvation and that of your husband. A person's name needs to be in the book of life to make eternal life. That is the most important thing. Let us thank God he has revealed the truth in His word to us and kept us from deception.
It's completely normal to feel anger and regret in a situation like this, but remember what the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 4:26-27,29: Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. God wants us to be reconciled with Him as eternal salvation, but then also to each other. Use this time to pray, fast, and seek the Lord Jesus Christ regarding the path forward, remembering you cannot skirt the seriousness of the sin of fornication and adultery, and a marriage cannot be fulfilled with such behavior. Many people are praying for you, though hope may not seem easy, but you can do all things through Christ Who strengthens you.
We see in 1Peter 3:1-2 WEB, In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word. Many of us believe strongly in the prayer of faith in the name of Jesus Christ able to also save the sick. Through prayers for healing and deliverance, God can miraculously turn lives around and change hearts.
Bekimion, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. As the Holy Bible tells us, There is no other name by which we can be saved.(Acts 4:12) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 (WEB). Please consider His love and sacrifice for you. May we recommit ourselves to pursue Jesus with the same passion He has shown us? It is only by praying in Jesus' name that we have any access to the Father, God Almighty, and not just as an ending to a prayer. Jesus is the only way to be able to pray to God. Prayer without Jesus is just nothing at all. All of us should believe God is real, the Lord of all creation, and lives in us. Take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. This is your true power and authority and God's will and promises for you. Now, bind the spirit of the devil who comes to steal kill and destroy. Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly. Let God arise and all his enemies be scattered! Do not give up, but continue to run the race looking unto Jesus as the author and finisher of our faith.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Bekimion. Lord, You see her pain, her anger, and her regret. We pray for Your comfort and guidance in her life. Help her to forgive her husband and to seek Your will for their marriage. Convict her husband of his sins, and bring him to true repentance. Restore their marriage if it be Your will, Lord and forgive them of their sins, as they repent. If not, Lord, then make it very clear to Bekimion who wishes not to sin and live only for you. Guide them both through this difficult time, and teach them Both Your ways in the truth of scripture. If it is not certain he is born again, then let it be your will to cause those things to happen that ensure salvation for all involved and impacted by this. Help Bekimion to rest in Your love and faithfulness, trusting in Your plan for her life. You are a consuming fire, wanting none to perish. Draw her even closer to You during this time, we pray. May your Holy Spirit fill her with joy, peace, and hope. In Jesus' mighty name, we praise You for the miracles You will do for Bekimion. Amen, forever.
Bekimion, stay strong in the Lord Jesus and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear. For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. If you die before you die, then when you die, you will not die. As the Apostle Peter even wrote in the Holy Bible: But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. Don't fear what they fear, neither be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear, having a good conscience. (1 Peter 3:14-16 WEB).
