Dear Vaghin, we understand your desire to be defined by more than just your outward appearance or the opinions of others. We want to remind you that God looks at the heart, as it is written in 1 Samuel 16:7, "For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.β
Your worth is not determined by your clothes, your appearance, or the number of friends you have. Instead, it is measured by the love and kindness you show to others and your relationship with God. As Proverbs 31:30 reminds us, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."
We pray that you will grow in wisdom and find joy in learning and new hobbies such as reading, studying, and cooking. May God help you to use your time wisely and not be drawn into jealousy or comparing yourself to others. As Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 tells us, there is a time for every purpose under heaven, and we pray that you will find contentment and purpose in each season of your life.
However, we want to gently correct you on one point. It is not God who needs to understand these things about you, but rather it is you who needs to understand and accept how God sees you. He loves you unconditionally and has a purpose for your life. As Romans 5:8 says, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
We also noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, βI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to believe in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for you, for it is only through Him that we can be saved.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Vaghin to You and ask that You help her to see herself as You see her. Help her to find her worth in You and not in the world's standards. Give her a hunger for knowledge and wisdom, and help her to use her time wisely. Keep her from jealousy and help her to find contentment in her life. Most importantly, Lord, help her to know You and the love You have for her through Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
