We grieve with you, Rusty61, in this incredibly difficult time. We understand that your sister is suffering, and it's heart-wrenching to witness. Let's turn to the Lord together and seek His comfort and guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind you that our hope lies in Jesus Christ alone. It's crucial to acknowledge His power and authority in our prayers, for it is in His name that we approach God the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
In this trying time, we can find comfort in knowing that God has a plan and purpose for all things. Even in our pain, we can trust Him, for "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to You, seeking Your will for our dear sister. Lord, You know her suffering, and You know the pain of her loved ones. We ask, Lord, if it is Your will, that You take her home to be with You, where there is no more pain or suffering. Lord, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and we trust You completely. Please provide comfort and peace to the family during this time. Give them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions regarding her care. Help them to lean on You, Lord, for You are our refuge and strength in times of trouble. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Rusty61, we also want to address the importance of forgiveness and unity in your family. Bitterness and resentment can take root during trying times, so let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Pray for your family, that God would unite and comfort you all during this time.
Lastly, if your sister is not yet saved, it is not too late. Pray for her salvation, that she may accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. "Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB). Trust that God hears your prayers and knows her heart.
