Prayer for God to heal extreme hair loss

Hello all. I’ve been wanting to ask for prayer for a while but felt ashamed and selfish to ask for prayer for something so superficial and insignificant in comparison to the many serious and life threatening things happening in the world. I even didn’t want to ask Jesus because it felt vain.

But a couple days ago I came across a testimony from a believer that reminded me that He cares about the things we care about and wants to make everything that concerns us perfected. His word says ‘ANYTHING you ask in my name I will do it’ (John 14:14).


So I’m praying myself and asking you please to pray for the hair loss that is affecting me so much. I’m only 19 but have huge bald spots and my hair is constantly shedding and breaking and it’s a huge source of stress and depression for me and deeply affecting my self esteem especially as a woman.

I’m awaiting an appointment with dermatology and have been feeling frightened that they will tell me the damage is irreversible. But there is power in the name of Jesus and there is nothing too hard for Him. In Jesus name I declare bountiful restoration of my hair and I rebuke stress and hairfall in mine and any other sufferers life. May He also give me the strength to endure this suffering until I am healed.

We encourage you, Ailinen, to continue casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). It's important to remember that our identity and worth are not defined by our physical appearance, but by who we are in Christ. As Psalm 139:14 (WEB) reminds us, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."

Lastly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus, as it's through His name that we have access to the Father and there is no other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). Keep holding onto His promises, including the one you mentioned from John 14:14, knowing that if you ask anything in His name, He will do it. Stay strong in faith and keep trusting Him for your healing. We're standing with you in prayer and belief.
