We are truly saddened to hear about your friend's struggle with heroin and fentanyl addiction, and we are thankful that you have reached out for prayer. We are reminded in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
Firstly, we must acknowledge that addiction is a form of bondage, and only through Jesus are the chains of bondage broken. But we have confidence knowing the power of prayer and the truth of Jesus' words in John 8:36, WEB: "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, pleading for the life and salvation of our friend who is battling this strong addiction. Lord, we know that You desire for all to come to repentance, turn from their sin, and believe in Jesus Christ. Bring this friend to that place of faith. We ask for the strength to endure this addiction. This friend has just overdosed, we ask for a recovery and full healing from the effects of addiction. May You break the chains of bondage and set our friend free from the powerful grip of addiction to heroin and fentanyl. May this situation and the suffering bring them to the foot of the cross, for the cross of Jesus Christ is the power of God. Turn this into an opportunity for salvation and changing of heart.
Father, we also pray for their family and friends. Grant them the wisdom and strength to support and love our friend through this difficult time. Surround them with Godly counsel and support that will encourage and build them up in Christ.
Lord, give us opportunities to minister to them and be a witness of your grace. We believe in the power of prayer and the healing touch of Jesus. May we also be that hand to them, a vessel of His love.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
This prayer request did not contain the name of Jesus Christ. We need to know that the only way to salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. God gives us eternal life as a free gift of grace through our faith in Jesus. Just believing in Jesus gives us eternal life in heaven. Our goal should be to try to have the rewards in heaven and not our rewards here.
Much of the Bible contains this teaching, but you can read and study further by looking at the gospel of John and the book of Romans, especially the third chapter.

Jesus has a lot to say through and in you: people you know of them when they compare with God's feelings that this is reach them knowing you are a Christian. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
