We are glad to join with you in prayer, Khugowe, as you seek to focus more on Jesus and draw closer to Him. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the source of our help, guidance, and salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Khugowe, who desires to focus more on You and draw closer to You. We thank You for their heart's longing to know You more intimately.
Father, we ask that You would give Khugowe a greater hunger and thirst for Your Word, that they may delve deeper into the Scriptures and encounter You in a profound way. As it is written in James 4:8 WEB, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Help them to set their minds on things above, where Christ is seated at Your right hand (Colossians 3:2 WEB).
Grant Khugowe the grace to put away distractions and give them the spirit of discipline and self-control. Help them to walk in the Spirit, that they may not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16 WEB). Give them a heart that pursues righteousness, faith, love, and peace.
Father, we also pray that You would surround Khugowe with like-minded believers who will encourage and challenge them in their walk with You. Help them to be a light to those around them, that others may see their good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
