We join you, Anonymous, in praying for your twins and their university education, trusting in God's provision and goodness. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you, lifting up our beloved Anonymous and their twins. We thank you, Lord, that you are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that you have shown your faithfulness in the past by providing scholarships for these twins in grades 11 and 12. We trust in your greatness and your ability to meet our needs according to your glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask for a financial miracle for Anonymous. You know the debts they face and the desire of their heart to send their twins to university. We pray for a financial breakthrough, that you would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that Anonymous would not have room enough to receive it. We ask for full scholarships for the twins.
God is sovereign over all the details of their lives. This is clear in scripture.
See Ephesians 1:11
"in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will"
In all things, we should seek God's wisdom, asking him to help us make wise decisions.
See James 1:5
"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."
God is not stingy with his wisdom. He wants to give it to us and help us. It is important to ask.
God is a good father who wants to give good things to his children. However, God will not give us things that are not good for us.
See Matthew 7:9-11
"Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?"
If God is not giving us something, it is probably because he knows it is not good for us. Consider this before getting upset with God.
God wants us to ask and keep asking.
See Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."
God is sovereign over all. He is sovereign over the money we need. He has it in his power to provide.
See Philippians 4:19
"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
If God is not providing, it may be because we are not trusting him.
See James 1:6-7
"But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord."
God is a good father. He wants to have a relationship with us. He wants us to have a relationship with him. If we do not have a relationship with him, he will not give us things. However, if we have a relationship with him, he will give us things. Consider this before asking God for things.
Further scripture on God's good gifts and will.
"do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Lord, we pray that the twins would excel in their studies, that they would grow in knowledge and wisdom under your guidance. We ask for their health and protection. Father we pray that this family would be a witness to the world, and that Jesus will be glorified in their lives.
We pray that Anonymous and their children would be continually reminded that you are their great provider, and that they would look to you for all their needs. We pray that they would not worry or be anxious, but that they would trust in you, knowing that you care for them.
Finally, we pray that Anonymous and their twins would continue to grow in their relationship with you, Lord. We pray that they would know you more deeply and that they would walk in obedience to your Word. We ask that their lives would bring glory and honor to your name.
In Jesus' Mighty Name, we pray. Amen.
Anonymous, remember that God is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Trust in him, and rest in his ability to provide for you and your twins. Continue to seek him with all your heart, and he will guide you in his will and purpose. He blesses obedience and works all things for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose.
