As it is written in 1 Timothy 6:6-8 WEB But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. The Bible also encourages us to help the poor in Proverbs 19:17 WEB He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; He will reward him.
