Let us come together in prayer for Tyler and his court case on the 9th. We trust in the Lord's sovereignty and His ability to turn the hearts of kings, like streams of water, He directs them as He pleases (Proverbs 21:1 WEB).
Firstly, we must acknowledge God is sovereign over all things, so this must include the court case. In addition, it is important to recognize that favor comes from God alone, and not by our strength or power (Zechariah 4:6 WEB). It is only in the name of Jesus that we can have access to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Tyler and his court case. Lord, You are the Judge of all the earth, and You do what is right (Genesis 18:25 WEB). We ask for Your favor and mercy upon Tyler. We pray that the outcome of this court case will be a testament to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We also pray for Tyler's spouse and family, that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB), and that You would be a strong tower for them, a refuge in the time of need (Proverbs 18:10 WEB).
If there is anything that Tyler or the spouse has done to contribute to this situation, then we must sincerely repent to God. It is important to ask for forgiveness from one another and also from God. As Jesus Christ told the adulterer. 'Go and sin no more.' It is true that there are always consequences to our sin, but God is merciful to forgive when we acknowledge sin and repent of it. If Tyler is guilty of the accusations, then we must repent and accept the consequences.
However, it must also be acknowledged, the most important thing is the soul of Tyler's spouse and his eternal salvation by Jesus Christ. It will profit a man nothing if he gains the whole world and loses his soul.
Lastly, we pray for those involved in the decision of this court case, that You would give them wisdom and discernment, Lord. We pray that they are convicted that a family is being affected and that they have the ability to do mercy. We ask that You would soften their hearts and direct their decisions according to Your will. May the name of Jesus be known and glorified in this situation.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Lastly, it is important to remember no matter what happens, God has a plan in all of this. Even if the outcome is not what is desired, God will use this situation to bring glory to Himself. He is sovereign over all things.
