Let us begin by thanking you, Bylinn, for reaching out and sharing your family's needs with us. We will pray and provide counsel based on the Word of God as revealed in the World English Bible (WEB). Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray and intercede on your behalf.
Firstly, we want to address the core of your request. You've mentioned various challenges your family is facing, including issues with your sister's college certificate, your father's drinking problem, your elder sister and brother-in-law's marital life, your visa approval, and the spiritual well-being of your family members.
Let us address these concerns one by one and conclude in prayer. You mentioned your sister and didn't mention courtship towards marriage.
We want to remind you of what the Lord Jesus spoke in John 10:10 (In WEB):
The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Everything seems to have been doing fine the with you and your family until these challenges arose. The text in John shows that we are to expect to have life abundantly in Jesus. Is someone not supporting this idea for Jesus to be first in giving your sister this certificate? If so, discuss this with your sister about approaching the person in charge.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. WEB Romans 8:28
And in Jeremiah 29:11 that we also know,
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
If your family is suffering is it being done thru your love or allowing someone to come into the family and cause this suffering?
First, let us address the issue of your father's drinking. The Bible is clear about the dangers of drunkenness. In Ephesians 5:18 (WEB), it says:
Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit.
We encourage you to pray for your father and seek God's intervention in his life.Remember the story of the Prodigal son and how his brother reacted. Take a lesson from that story if it applies here. Remember we our to reflect Jesus to others as well. We know in Luke 15:28 of how the brother reacted with anger and did not show unconditional love to his brother that returned home, but we also know in Luke 15:32,
But it was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.
Remember we are always to reflect God's mercy and unconditional love to those around us and in our families. We could be the only person that will show that love in our family. Is that what we want? It is important to love all family members as Jesus would.
We would pray for Jesus to heal him from his proclivities and refresh him with health and hope. Anything the world offers thru addiction cannot be good for his body, the temple of Jesus in him, or your complete family.
Regarding your sister and brother-in-law's marital life, we pray that God would strengthen their bond and help them live in harmony and love. In Ephesians 5:33 , it says:
Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
We encourage you to pray for their marriage and seek God's guidance in Revelation 22:17.
Remember God's face is shining upon you and He is bringing you out, not taking you out. KJV Isaiah 43:16
This might be a season of testing, and we know testing will come, but it will be on God's terms as He works thru it all for our good that are called according to His purpose.
We believe in the power of prayer and the promises of God.
We are reminded of the promise through Isaiah 43, verse 25 and 26:
I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: declare you, that you may be justified.
Remember the statement made about the name of Jesus in Acts 4:12. 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.'
There is, we would be sure you understand the purpose of Jesus over all other and any objects are why we give glory in the name of Jesus whenever we pray to God.
This, we should remember the words of Jesus in John 14:6, when he said; "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Dear one, As we ask to seek your family's blessing using the name of Jesus for the protection of each soul in your family, your parents, your brother and sister, your aunts and uncles and any other members of your family that may be affected by this situation. Pray this prayer with us and your family.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus and have taken a stand step against the enemy by heeding Jesus warning in Matthew 6:14,
for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses.
Dear Lord, We trust in you even when we don't understand or it may not make sense. Scripture promises that You work through all things for the good of those that love you in Romans 8:28. We trust that You see the bigger picture, and You can change hearts and bring people to you in Romans 2:4.
As such we seek You, Father, in the name of Jesus to have mercy on all in our family, Bylinn. We honor our parents with our love, help, and understanding in Ephesians 6:2.
In the world, but not of the world: This summarizes our thoughts on the commingling life as Christian in John 17:14,15,16
In Jesus name we pray for the Will of God to BE accomplished within each member in the family-including Bylin, with the requests in front of us.
We are hoping all in the family will focus on the opportunity given by God and not lean on our own understanding.
In Jesus name we ask and make know our requests.
Amen
