We are truly sorry to hear about the turmoil your family has been facing since the sudden death of your cousin. We commend you for taking in her four children and showing them the love and care they need during this difficult time. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Psalm 68:5-6 (WEB): "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land." God has a special place in His heart for orphans, and He has placed these children in your care for a purpose.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in the lives of these four children. Lord, we pray that You would comfort their hearts, that they may know they are deeply loved by You and by their family. We ask that You would bring a turnaround in their behaviors and actions, that they would align with Your will. Protect them, Father, wherever they go, and guide them to grow into productive citizens who love and serve You.
Lord, we also lift up the adults in this situation. We know that they are weary, but we ask that You would strengthen them with Your power through Your Spirit in their inner beings, according to Ephesians 3:16. Give them patience, wisdom, and unfailing love as they care for these children.
Finally, Lord, we pray that these children and the adults caring for them would come to know Jesus Christ personally if they do not already. We know that it is only through His name that we can be saved and have access to Your presence, as Acts 4:12 tells us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue trusting in God, knowing that He cares for you and your family. Remember, God promises in His word that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Stay strong in the faith, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).
