We understand the heavy burden you're carrying, Rhapooth, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and offer biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for your desire to focus on the truth and God's word, and for your willingness to forgive. Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB) tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
However, we want to address that the anger and betrayal you feel is valid, but it's crucial to handle these emotions in a way that honors God. Romans 12:19 (WEB) says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
We also want to remind you that God's plan for relationships is that they should be between a man and a woman, bound together in holy matrimony. If your relationship with the father of your children was outside of marriage, we encourage you to reflect on God's design for relationships and repent if necessary. Hebrews 13:4 (WEB) states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Moreover, we appreciate your dedication to God above money, career, or relationships. Indeed, Matthew 6:33 (WEB) tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We join you in prayer against the temptation of substance abuse and pray that you find true comfort in God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB) says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up our dear Rhapooth. Lord, you know the pain and betrayal she feels, and we ask that you comfort her and heal her heart. Help her to forgive, just as you have forgiven her. Guide her in your truth and help her to dismiss feelings of depression and loneliness. Give her the strength to resist temptations and to find true comfort in you. We pray that her faith will grow, and that she will continue to dedicate her life to you. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer did not mention Jesus. We want to remind you that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
