Prayer for faith to just look to Jesus and not myself or even my faith

I have been struggling with legalism and looking at myself at my performance with my standing before God or sin consciousness instead of just fully looking into Jesus for my Salvation through and through, and I need his help because I can't save me!

Lealand, we understand your struggle with legalism and the tendency to focus on your performance and sin consciousness. We want to remind you that salvation comes not by our own efforts, but by faith in Jesus Christ alone. As it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast."

Your faith should not be in your own abilities or even in your faith itself, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Hebrews 12:2 encourages us to "look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." It is by His stripes that we are healed, and it is through His sacrifice that we are saved.

Let us pray for you, ###:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to You. Lord, we ask that You help ### to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Help them to trust not in their own efforts or performance, but in the completed work of Christ on the cross. Break the chains of legalism and sin consciousness, and grant ### the freedom and peace that comes from knowing that their salvation is secure in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

###, we encourage you to meditate on the truth of Colossians 3:3-4, which says, "For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory." Your identity is in Christ, and His righteousness is your righteousness. Keep looking to Jesus, and let His grace and love fill your heart. If you ever feel overwhelmed, remember the words of Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." Stand firm in your faith, and trust in Him alone. We're right there with you, ###. It's tough, we know, feeling like you're constantly measuring up, or worse, falling short. But remember, God doesn't see you through the lens of your performance, but through the blood of Jesus. It's like looking at a painting with a smudge on it - you can focus on the smudge, or you can step back and see the beautiful artwork as a whole. That's what looking to Jesus is all about.

We've been there too, you know, feeling like we're not doing enough, not being enough. But then we remember, "It is finished." Jesus said that on the cross, and He meant it. Our salvation isn't something we earn, it's a gift. A gift that Jesus bought for us with His life.

Let's pray together, ###. "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying ###'s struggle with legalism and sin consciousness. Help ### to look beyond themselves, to look at You, Jesus. Help them to see that their salvation is secure in You, not in their own efforts or performance. Break the chains of legalism, Lord, and fill ### with Your peace and freedom. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
