We are glad you have joined us and have shared your struggle with emetophobia. We want you to know that you are not alone in this battle, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble and that is why we should not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. (Psalms 46:1-3 WEB) However, as you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation, we want to remind you that we are only saved by the name of Jesus.
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the Good News. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report? So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:13-17 WEB)
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:6-9 WEB)
The fear you are experiencing is not from God. For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
To overcome this fear, it is important to renew your mind with the Word of God. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:2 WEB)
As a group, we pray for God's peace to fill you now and for freedom to take the place of anxiety. We pray for you to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, we pray for you to have the spirit of power, love, and self-control in the name of Jesus Christ.
It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating foods, for those who do this have not benefited. We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat. For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp. Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate. Let us therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach. For we do not have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come. Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. But do not forget to be doers of good and sharers, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:9-16 WEB)
It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, and through him, Jesus, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. We offer this Scripture passage to encourage you to proclaim allegiance to Jesus, to the name of Jesus, to the name of Jesus Christ, to the name of Christ.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones. Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase: so shall your barns be filled with plenty, and your vats shall overflow with new wine. My son, do not despise Yahweh's chastening, neither be weary of his reproof: for whom Yahweh loves, he reproves; even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights. (Proverbs 3:5-12 WEB)
