Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, on behalf of Gethwell, who is seeking prayer for Easter Sunday. We thank you for the opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We ask that you fill Gethwell's heart with joy and gratitude as they reflect on the sacrifice and victory of Jesus on this special day.
Lord, we pray for a deep understanding and appreciation of the significance of Easter Sunday. May Gethwell be reminded of your great love for us, demonstrated through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Help them to grasp the power and hope that comes from knowing that Jesus conquered sin and death, and that through Him, we have eternal life.
As Gethwell participates in Easter celebrations, whether it be attending church services, spending time with loved ones, or engaging in acts of service, we ask for your presence to be with them. Fill their heart with your peace and joy, and may they experience a renewed sense of purpose and faith.
Father, we also lift up all those who may be grieving or feeling lonely during this Easter season. Comfort them with your love and remind them of the hope we have in Jesus. May Gethwell be a source of encouragement and support to those around them, sharing the message of your resurrection power and the hope found in Christ.
We pray for unity among believers on this Easter Sunday. Help us to set aside our differences and come together as one body, just as Jesus prayed for his disciples in John 17. May our love for one another be a testimony to the world of your transforming grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

- 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 - "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Romans 6:4 - We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
