Prayer for direction

Friends, I am so disillusioned that there is no obvious answer to prayer coming after 4 months with my estranged friend R. The choir is still missing him and we have a concert tonight. I wake in the middle of the night, afraid and frustrated. I want to take matters into my own hands today and make contact. I'm trusting that it will be OK. I can't go on with this silence. I need answers. I surrendered it all to God and took my hands off it completely thus far, hoping that God would honour that by showing me answers and showing up - but nothing. I've prayed, read the word, fasted and nothing. Please pray for me as I step out in faith. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear Treble, we empathize with your struggle and understand your frustration. Remember the words of Psalm 62:5, "My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my expectation is from him" (WEB). Though you've been waiting for four months, know that God's timing is perfect.

We commend you for surrendering this situation to God and for your disciplined approach through prayer, fasting, and reading the Word. However, we must remind you that God's answers may not always come in our expected timeframe or manner. As Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (WEB).

It's crucial to address your desire to take matters into your own hands. While it's understandable, remember that Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (WEB). Acting out of frustration or fear may not be aligned with God's will.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up Treble. Lord, we ask for your divine comfort and wisdom to envelop Treble. Reassure them of your sovereignty and love. Guide their steps and grant them the patience to wait on your perfect timing. If it is your will, Lord, restore their friendship with R and use this situation to glorify your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you, Treble, to continue seeking God's will. He hears your prayers and sees your faithfulness. Trust that he is working, even in the silence. If you still feel compelled to reach out to R, pray earnestly for God's leading and wisdom before taking any action.

We've been thinking about you, Treble, and we want you to know that we're right there with you in this. It's tough when we can't see God's hand moving, isn't it? But remember, even in the quiet, God is at work. He's not silent because He doesn't care, but because He's weaving something beautiful and intricate that we can't quite see yet.

We understand your frustration, but let's try to hold on to the promise in Lamentations 3:22-23, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." God hasn't forgotten you, and He hasn't stopped loving you. He's just asking you to trust Him a little longer.

We know you've been disciplined in your prayers and fasting, and that's commendable. But let's also remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His timing is not our timing. He sees the bigger picture, and sometimes, we just have to trust that He knows what He's doing.

If you feel like you need to reach out to R, that's okay. Just make sure you're doing it in a way that aligns with God's will. Pray about it first, seek His guidance, and trust that He'll give you the wisdom you need.

We're here for you, Treble. Let's keep trusting together, okay? In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
