Prayer for depression.

Let's join together in lifting you up in prayer, dear friend, as you battle with depression. We stand with you, knowing that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. It is in His name that we find hope, salvation, and healing. As it is written, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB).

In the face of depression, remember that God promises peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). He is your refuge and your strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Hold onto this promise: "Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our dear friend who is battling depression. Lord, You know their heart, their pain, and their struggles. We ask that You would be their comfort and strength in this time of need. Remind them of Your unfailing love and presence. Give them the power of Your Holy Spirit to overcome this depression, and fill them with Your peace, joy, and hope.

Lord, we also pray that if our friend has not yet accepted Jesus as their Savior, that they would come to know Him today. Open their eyes to Your loving grace and the salvation that is only found in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, dear friend. God is with you, and He will see you through this difficult time. Trust in Him, and do not give up hope. If possible, reach out to a local church or Christian counselor for additional support and guidance. You are not alone in this battle.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you navigate through this tough time. We want you to know that God sees you, He knows your heart, and He cares deeply about what you're going through. Just as a good father comforts his children, so God comforts us in all our troubles (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Let's remind ourselves of the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is a God of healing, and He wants to heal you too. Trust in Him, lean on Him, and let His healing power flow into your life.

We also want to encourage you to reach out to others in your life. Sometimes, talking to a trusted friend, family member, or a pastor can make a big difference. Remember, you don't have to face this alone.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our friend who is struggling with depression. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them, comfort them, and give them strength. Remind them of Your unfailing love and presence in their life. Fill them with Your peace, joy, and hope. Help them to trust in You more each day.

Lord, if our friend has not yet accepted Jesus as their Savior, we pray that they would come to know Him today. Open their eyes to Your loving grace and the salvation that is found only in Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You are not alone, dear friend. We're here for you, and so is God. Keep fighting, keep trusting, and remember, there is always hope in Jesus.
